We have returned again this year to recharge the batteries to the Carlton in Kinsale. We didn't travel far having come from Cork city but why travel when we have everything we need on our doorstep? We ... walked on the grounds, took in the beautiful setting, inhaled the frsh crisp air and began to unwind immediately. We had lunch in the bar, it was excellent in every way, took advantage of the full leisure facilities and dined in the restaurant after first relaxing in our very spacious tastefully decorated room. We were delighted to see some familiar friendly faces in the restaurant from the last visit and were not stuck for choice on the menu. After a delicious dinner, restful sleep and final visit to the pool we dined on a very tasty breakfast. Oh how I wish every day was a Carlton day! Looking forward to my next visit already... ---

Stayed for 2 nights, hotel was very nice, room could have been a bit bigger as with a cot and buggy it was a bit cramped. Pool was fab and food in restaurant was gorgeous. Staff extremely friendly and ... helpful, our little girl was sick on our last night in the hotel and reception staff especially were very kind.This was not our first stay in a Carlton and won't be our last!Great value for money! ---

I only stayed for 1 night but my parents were there for 3 nights and they said they couldnt have been looked after better than they were. The staff and management were both extremely helpful and ... curtious. I could not believe the bargain price for the room and I am definitely going to book another break for February with friends. The courtesy bus in and out of Kinsale is a great service also. Wishing you all a merry Christmas & Happy New Year! ---

Thank you, had a wonderful stay. being super-critical by taking away a couple of stars but overall it was truly wonderful. The location is fab, beautiful and quiet, a bit away from kinsale but you can't ... have both! The room was lovely but the bed was uncomfortable but i would think that was down to the specific room(Room 204!!). The bar was nice but very quiet given the time of year. Overall though fantastic break away from it all, fabulous food, staff, beautiful setting and leisure facilities at a reasonable price. Highly recommended. ---

From the moment we arrived, Front of house, House keeping. Breakfast. Dinner, the food is delish, the staff just can't do enough to make you feel at home. The Spa is an experience you will want to return to again and again. And guess what we will, Having already booked our return and we are so looking forward to our stay with the Carlton staff in Kinsale again.

The Carlton is a situated in a beautiful part of the country. We enjoyed our stay there.It was very relaxing and I indulged in the spa day wish was my first time and enjoyed it immensely. The staff were very friendly and courteous and especially Thomas in the restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and will stay here again.

A lovely hotel,very friendly staff and excellent facilities. Disappointed with room as it was on the ground floor and all we could see was a hedge.Lovely room but too dark,we will certainly return to this hotel but will request a better view!

given the option of a room with a view, we requested it - most of one wall is glass so the amazing view is like a huge picture on the wall. Absolutely stunning! Good breakfast buffet. Helpful staff. Nice ... enough pool, also with great view but lots of kids in after school so plan your visit. The setting for this hotel outside Kinsale is fabulous, down a long wooded drive. It is however also a drive, not a walk into Kinsale if you want to eat there. ---

We spent three nights in the Carlton and had a really lovely time,the ambiance and the staff left us feeling totally relaxed after our visit and the courtesy bus into and out of the town was a totally unexpected and welcome surprise

We were a party of 7 staying 2 nights in this fantastic hotel, beautiful views from all of our rooms overlooking either the river or the waterfall. Couldn't fault service or setting however fire alarm on ... 1st night sounded.....no follow up to advise false alarm etc bit worrying! As there was a large wedding party we presumed it was their fault. Breakfast couldn't be beaten in all the hotels we have stayed in throughout the world. ---
