went away with 3 couples, would definitely recommend it, we enjoyed a meal before going into town for few hours, had the use of the residents bar on return, rooms were very nice with fab view,option of watching a movie, use of the pool which was very relaxing with various jets in the different corners of the pool. Overall very enjoyable stay

10 of us stayed in 2 apartments and they were absolutely fantastic. Only down size to night was the make-shift bar as the main bar was closed due to renovations but the replacement was sadly lacking in atmosphere. Otherwise great hotel, great food, superb location

I had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful hotel just after the new year, the hotel and grounds were immaculate and beautiful even at that time of the year. Overall i had a relaxing and peaceful time and have recommended this hotel to many friends and family.

My sisters and I were planning a night out in Cork but then decided to stay at the Carlton and have a night away which was a nice treat. We had a lovely tasty 3 course meal included in a special offer ... that was on and this 1-night stay with such delicious food was really value for money. We ate in the bar which didn't have the best ambiance but the restaurant upstairs was being refurbished so I guess we'll have to return to sample dinner there next time!!! We availed of the taxi service to Kinsale in the evening and the taxi drivers were so friendly and helpful so praise to them too. Hope to return again. ---

I stayed here in January and had a lovely night. The room was really clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. Only downside was the bar which at the time was located downstairs which I think was a temporary location. It wasn't nice to sit in at all.

A truly breath taking, luxurious hotel and surroundings. Haven't felt so pampered and relaxed in a long time. The food and service was truly taste budingly tingling. It was nice to fall in love in this romantic lovable setting all over again. Well worth the break away, many tanks to all x

My friend had a 'special' birthday so 3 of treated her and us to an escape!!! We enjoyed everything... Excellent food and wine, staff so so helpful (they could not do enough for us) and a wonderful pampering in the spa... Could not ask for more.. Would certainly recommend and return

Stayed here for a night and I absolutely adored it! It's such a beautiful & luxurious hotel with very helpful staff. The rooms are fantastic and very spacious. Loved the layout and the surroundings of the hotel too - such a relaxed environment. Would highly recommend it!

Both Myself and my wife have stayed in the hotel on 3 occasions, one being our wedding and cannot fault the Hotel one bit. The staff are excellent. (Friendly and helpful), the food was a real treat and the rooms and location pushed it to being our favourite hotel in Ireland. Its not if we book again but When!!!!

We visited the hotel in early January for a quiet break with my parents and our 15 month old toddler. As usual, everything was wonderful. We ate our evening meal in the bar as this is sometimes easier ... with a boy who likes to throw things. The food in the bar is always excellent. We also made use of the pool facilities which are very child friendly.Overall, a very enjoyable stay...we'll be back!! ---
